Accessible Heritage Trails

Accessible Heritage Trails on kcc

The Accessible Heritage Trails explore the monuments and fortified sites of historic towns in Kent, West Flanders and Cote d'Opale. The trails are easily accessible for everyone, particularly for people with limited mobility, the elderly and families with pushchairs. Each leaflet contains a clear map, a route description and some historic information about major points of interest. The Kentish leaflets include trails of Canterbury, Dover, Rochester, Sandwich, Tonbridge, Hythe and the Battle of Britain. In 2007 a further trail for Thurnham Castle was added taking the visitor around the White Horse Wood, including its iron age enclosure and Thurnham Castle itself.
